PERIMETER SECURITY

PTZ Perimeter Security

A coordinated PTZ camera platform that patrols a perimeter, detects people, drones and vehicles, and follows the relevant object automatically.

Detect the threat. Keep it in sight. A coordinated PTZ camera platform that patrols a protected perimeter, detects people, drones and vehicles, automatically follows the relevant object and sends an actionable alert with live video, evidence and operational metadata.

  • 360° — coordinated perimeter coverage
  • 3 — core threat classes
  • 4 — PTZ cameras in the baseline
  • 2+ — active targets tracked
  • ≤2s — target alert objective

A camera alarm is not enough

Conventional surveillance often shows an operator where something happened only after the event is already underway. AeroSentra Vision turns each valid detection into a managed security track with a unique identity, classification, confidence score, behaviour history, evidence package and operator workflow. The result is faster verification and a clearer response.

One visual platform for multiple perimeter threats

The platform combines video analytics, PTZ control, multi-object tracking and event delivery. It is camera-only by design, and can be deployed at the edge or connected to an existing VMS.

People

Detect line crossing, zone entry, loitering, climbing, repeated approach and movement toward a protected asset.

Vehicles

Identify restricted entry, wrong-way movement, abnormal stopping, sensitive-zone dwell and suspicious approach routes.

Visible drones

Detect and track small aerial objects in configured sky sectors, tuned to reduce confusion between drones, birds and background motion.

PTZ acquisition and follow

Interrupt the patrol, move to the target sector, adapt zoom and keep the selected object inside a configurable tracking region.

Camera handoff

Preserve track identity and evidence while the object moves from one camera sector to the next.

Alert with evidence

Send object details, confidence, zone, camera telemetry, movement, snapshot, clip and live-stream reference to the control room.

From patrol to operator action

The workflow is automated, but every alert remains transparent and controllable by the security team.

  • Patrol — PTZ cameras execute coordinated presets, tours and dwell schedules.
  • Detect — AI identifies a person, vehicle or aerial object across consecutive frames.
  • Evaluate — zone rules, direction, dwell time and confidence determine threat priority.
  • Track — the selected PTZ centres the object and adjusts pan, tilt and zoom.
  • Alert — the system packages evidence and metadata into a standardised event.
  • Respond — the operator verifies, escalates, reclassifies or closes the event.

Every alert arrives with the relevant payload

Payload means the operational data attached to the security event. It gives the control room the context needed to understand what was detected, where it is, how it is moving and what evidence is available.

Continuous tracking across camera sectors

A moving threat should not become a new event every time it enters another field of view. The handoff process preserves the same track ID, object history and evidence chain.

  • Prepare — the receiving camera is positioned at the predicted entry point before the object enters its sector.
  • Acquire — class, timing and expected trajectory are used to find the same target.
  • Confirm — the system verifies that both observations belong to one track.
  • Transfer — the receiving PTZ becomes primary without resetting the event history.

Deployment models that fit the site

The same event model and operator workflow can run inside the cameras, on a local edge appliance, or within an existing security centre.

  • Camera edge (compact) — analytics inside compatible PTZ cameras, lower server complexity, direct VMS event integration. Best for smaller sites.
  • Edge appliance (recommended) — central processing for several camera streams, low-latency local operation, unified track and handoff management, and continued operation during a control-room link loss.
  • Hybrid or on-premises (enterprise) — detection at the edge with central reporting and supervision, scalable multi-site management, and integration with PSIM and enterprise identity.

Built for security operations

The platform supports ONVIF or vendor APIs for PTZ control, RTSP or secure vendor streams, REST webhooks, MQTT over TLS, VMS integration, event search, audit logs, health monitoring, role-based access and local operation during a communications outage.

It is deployed at critical infrastructure, industrial sites, logistics centres, government facilities, airports and ports, data centres, remote compounds and event perimeters.

Operational note: PTZ-only drone detection depends on target visibility, image size, contrast, weather, lighting and camera line of sight. Sites requiring detection beyond visual coverage can later integrate external sensors through the event API.
